Farmington Hills man charged after truck crashes into house

A 62-year-old Farmington Hills man faces multiple charges after a Ford F-150 pickup crashed into a house on Shiawassee west of Inkster early Wednesday morning.

John Leonard Voskhul, Jr., remains in custody on $25,000 cash or surety bond following his Wednesday arraignment in 47th District Court. He is charged with operating under the influence of a controlled substance, failing to report an accident, and failing to stop and identify himself after an accident.

According to a Farmington Hills Police Department press release, the crash happened at around 4:18 a.m. Residents were home, but no one reported any injuries, and the driver ran from the scene.

Farmington Hills Police officers, with help from a Royal Oak Police K-9, tracked the driver to a home not far from the crash location, where Voskhul was arrested. His next court appearance will be on June 14, 2 p.m.
