Farmington Hills library offers concerts, author events in April

Tuesday, April 9, 6 p.m. – Learn to Find Your Family’s Ancestors

In this hands-on workshop with members of the Farmington Genealogical Society, learn to navigate and Heritage Quest on library computers. Bring names, dates, and locations of your relatives. Registration required:

A potpourri of Farmington Public Schools high school ensembles will bring an afternoon of music, from brass to strings.

Thursday, April 25, 7 p.m. – Joni in Detroit

Author Susan Whitall will discuss Joni Mitchell’s early years in the Cass Corridor and how it shaped her music. Her book Joni on Joni will be available as well.

Sunday, April 28, 3 p.m. – Farmington Musicale

Oakland County Brassworks, a brass quintet performs music from a wide variety of music including classical, jazz, and contemporary.
