A Farmington Hills firm’s Casual for a Cause program raised $2,588.32 last year for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Safety Net, an IT services and security firm, allows employees to wear jeans on Fridays, in exchange for a small donation to a cause chosen each year with a team vote. The Alzheimer’s Association was nominated by Jenni Peoples, whose sister was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s at the age of 53.
Funds raised through Casual for a Cause and the support of friends and family for the Walk to End ALZ were distributed in Southfield and Traverse City, both part of the Greater Michigan Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Previous charities include Big Brothers Big Sisters and Make-a-Wish.
