Farmington Hills council talks library, parks and rec millage tonight

Farmington Hills city council members will talk tonight about putting a parks and recreation millage renewal on the Tuesday, August 7, primary election ballot.

The item is part of the council’s 7:30 p.m. regular meeting agenda, which also includes a number of board and commission appointments and a public hearing on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The city will receive an estimated $340,278 in federal funds; the recommended allocation includes housing rehabilitation for low and moderate income homeowners, public service organizations (HAVEN, South Oakland Shelter, Common Ground Sanctuary), and program administration.

During a 6 p.m. study session held in the Community Room, officials will continue their discussion about the Farmington Community Library, get an overview of the 2018-19 budget, and talk about Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
