Farmington Hills church creates solstice celebration

The Universalist Unitarian Church of Farmington invites the community to a color-themed solstice ritual held Friday, Dec. 22.

The 7:15 p.m. event will be held at the church, 25301 Halsted Rd. in Farmington Hills and celebrates the longest night of the year. With the theme, “YOU are a PIECE of OUR PEACEFUL-PRISM SOLSTICE,” the non-commercialized celebration marks the change of seasons on the official first day of winter.
