Farmington High wrestlers came away with the final three-way City Meet, held February 4 at Power Middle School.
The Falcons beat North Farmington 54-24 and Harrison High 60-20. Wrestlers who won both of their matches were: Donovan King (285 lbs.), Jack Fowler (152 lbs.), Anthony Averiette (130 lbs.), Jack Higley (135 lbs.), Raymond Justice (160 lbs.), Javen Culpepper (171 lbs.), and Drew Washburn (112 lbs.).
Because Harrison will close at the end of this school year, the meet’s 20th year will also be its last. Schools have competed for the Dick Cook Trophy, named for the Farmington resident who coached at all three schools during his tenure and was an NCAA champion in the 1960s.
Farmington has won the meet 13 times.
