Farmington High School’s theatre program this weekend presents a hilarious look at a unique middle school competition.

“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” a fun-loving comedy, follows Bee competitors who have their own special ways of dealing with the pressure of being a champion speller. The 2005 Tony Award-winning musical celebrates the “pandemonium” with catchy and heart-warming tunes.
Performances are slated Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12, $10 for students, and will be on sale after school in the FHS Performance Arts Center or at the door on show dates.
The school is located at 32000 Shiawassee in Farmington.
