Senior Antoine McCoy and junior Parth Nakirikanti qualified after solo auditions evaluated by MSVMA vocal judges. Adjudicators focused on performance elements, including vocal tone quality, musicality, and pitch/rhythm accuracy during the audition.

Students from more than 300 high schools in Oakland and Livingston counties auditioned.

“We have exceptional vocal talent at Farmington High School. Parth and Antoine are great examples of the hard working students of Farmington Public Schools,” Farmington High director of choirs Angel Gippert said in a press release.

The next Farmington High School choral performance will be at the school’s new auditorium on Monday, December 10, 7 p.m. Antoine and other standout soloists will be featured during the hour-long holiday celebration. A suggested donation of $5-$10 per family is requested to assist the choir’s 2018-2019 school year budget.
