As donations roll in, Farmington Area Goodfellows volunteers are sorting toys and non-perishable foods to ensure no local child or senior goes without a Christmas.

Goodfellows president Richard Lerner said about half of the food and toy boxes that will be delivered on Saturday, December 22, have been packed. Additional items will be collected during Friday night’s Battle of the Middles at Harrison High and from donation boxes at Farmington City Hall, Farmington Hills City Hall, Farmington Community Library Downtown Farmington branch, and the Costick Activities Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.

One Farmington Hills business stepped up in a big way this year, with thousands of dollars in donations and a van full of toys. Flex LTD, which provides design, engineering, logistics, and other services, held a Thursday holiday party that capped off the drive, Lerner said.
