Farmington city officials will be asked on Tuesday to approve plans for a large-scale mural installation on the east wall of the city-owned Farmington Civic Theater.
Created by artist Adrienne Pickett, the work celebrates the theater’s 80th anniversary with images of iconic actors including James Dean, Veronica Lake, Sidney Poitier, and Jimmy Stewart. The DDA is paying all project costs, with installation expected in September/October, pending DDA board approval.
Also on the Sept. 3, 7 p.m., agenda:
- Interviews for appointments to the Historical Commission And Emergency Preparedness Commission
- Requests for two special events: Farmington Public Schools Tag Days, a fundraiser for music programs, and Cypress Yoga for the Community
- A road maintenance agreement with the Road Commission for Oakland County, through which the city provides routine maintenance on Farmington Road between Eight Mile and Grand River
- Televising sanitary sewer in Bel-Aire Subdivision
