Farmington candidates reveal campaign funding

In campaign finance disclosures filed by Friday at 5 p.m., most Farmington city council candidates revealed that they’re mostly self-funding their campaigns.

The five candidates running November 5 for three positions include Sara Bowman, Sarah Davies, Joe LaRussa, Geof Perrot, and Steven Schneemann. Campaigns closed out their books on October 20 for these reports:

Sara Bowman

Bowman filed a waiver indicating she intended to raise or spend less than $1,000. However, she posted this disclosure on her campaign social media page:

Sarah Davies

Davies topped all candidates in fundraising, taking in $1,255 from 19 donors, and spent all but $97. The majority of her contributions were in amounts under $100.

Joe LaRussa

LaRussa raised $1,130 from 19 donors, with the majority of contributions in amounts under $100. He provided $567 of the reported $821 in-kind contributions. LaRussa has also spent nearly all of those funds, with a $15 balance going into the last few weeks of the campaign season.

Geof Perrot

Perrot reports no individual contributions. The candidate made $1,186 in in-kind contributions to his own campaign.

Steven Schneemann

Schneemann reports no individual contributions. The candidate made $2,645 in in-kind contributions to his own campaign.
