The Groves-Walker American Legion Post, along with the cities of Farmington and Farmington Hills, will host Farmington’s 17th Annual Patriot Day Ceremony on Tuesday, September 11.

The 6 p.m. event, held at the Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion and Riley Park in downtown Farmington, will honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 citizens and first responders who died in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York.
During the ceremony, Farmington Public Safety, Farmington Hills Police and Fire Departments will honor their officers and firefighter of the year. Light refreshments will follow the ceremony.
Those who attend are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs; some seating is available.
