Distinguished Professor of English, Michael Scrivener, will discuss Mary W. Shelley’s great novel Frankenstein in the context of her parents, Mary Wollstonecraft, the feminist pioneer, and William Godwin, author of a philosophical treatise supporting anarchism, along with her husband Percy Bysshe, a Romantic poet, political activist, and radical writer.
