Bluebird Monitor Training
Become a trained bluebird monitor volunteer and you’ll learn how to gather valuable information from nest boxes in sensitive areas of Heritage Park.
All ages are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult. All materials and necessary training will be provided. Monitors must commit to visiting the park once a week. Training is free, but pre-registration is strongly recommended at recreg.fhgov.com or at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.
The data collected by bluebird monitors will be used by Cornell University’s NestWatch, a national monitoring program that helps protect birds around the country. For details on the program, go to nestwatch.org.
