The Farmington Civic Theater’s Friday Night Live concert series continues October 11 with local singer-songwriters Stephen Clark, Steve Taylor and Steve Acho. It’s not surprising the concert is billed as the “Even Steven Songwriters Round,” presented by St. Joe’s Medical Group.
Many know Stephen Clark from his seventeen years as an anchor and reporter before retiring from WXYZ-TV last year. He’s now heard weekday mornings on WOMC radio with former TV coworker JoAnne Purtan. Stephen’s been performing and writing songs for over 25 years and looks forward to sharing his Nashville insight and the backstories behind his songs.
Steve Taylor is a big supporter of the songwriting craft and continues to bring attention to that art in the Detroit area. His exposure to Nashville added a new dimension to his songwriting. Steve continues to write and perform original material revolving around his life experiences. The Steve Taylor Three’s Bryan Frink and Carey Weaver are also part of the night’s lineup.
Steve Acho is a Detroit-area singer-songwriter-pianist who taught himself to play piano after being inspired at a Billy Joel concert. He’s performed his soulful covers and original music across the country and the world.
Friday Night Live focuses on area singer-songwriters. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available in advance at Eventbrite.com and at the Farmington Civic Theater box office, or at the door for $18. Cash only at the theater. A co-production with Go2Guy Productions.
The Farmington Civic Theater is located in downtown Farmington at 33332 Grand River Avenue. Additional concert information is available on the theater’s Facebook page.
