The Call to Action Coalition will kick off National Substance Abuse Prevention Month with its annual breakfast held Friday, Oct. 6, at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.
Doors open at 7 a.m., breakfast is served at 7:15 a.m.
Speakers will talk about:
- The prevalence of substance abuse and domestic violence in society
- How public safety officials have coped with these situations in our cities
- How community members can become more informed and aware
- How to help friends, neighbors, and family members struggling with these issues
