Civil War historian to speak at Farmington’s Warner Mansion

Local author and historian Gary Rembisz will speak about the life of Michigan Civil War soldiers during the next Pages in the Parlor, held Thursday, April 12 at the Governor Warner Mansion, 33805 Grand River in Farmington.

Rembisz’s book Black Feathers in Black Hats focuses on the 24th Michigan, part of the elite Iron Brigade. We often look at the people of this period being very different from us, but he will demonstrate many ways they were the same.
