Celebrate Thanksgiving for Nature at Farmington Hills Nature Center

The Farmington Hills Nature Center’s annual “Thanksgiving for Nature” will be held on Friday, November 23.

Activities from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. include a self-guided scavenger hunt through the trails of Heritage Park, with a list of clues and directions that will help participants find reasons to be thankful for all of nature’s gifts.

Those who complete the scavenger hunt will be eligible for a Thanksgiving prize.

Kids can make some unique fall nature crafts and enjoy roasting marshmallows at the campfire. Check out the new animals and displays at the Nature Center or warm up with some hot cocoa.

Thanksgiving for Nature is open to all ages. Preregistration is strongly encouraged at recreg.fhgov.com or at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. For more information, contact Nature Center Supervisor Ashlie Smith at 248-477-1135 or asmith@fhgov.com.
