Celebrate holiday lights in Farmington, Farmington Hills

Farmington and Farmington Hills will light up for the holidays during events held in early December.

Light Up the Grand

Applications are open for the annual Light Up the Grand lighted parade, held Saturday, December 2 in downtown Farmington. The event is part of the Holly Days celebration, which includes a Greens, Gifts and Giving Farmers Market with Victorian carolers, hot cocoa and chili, free pictures with Santa, stories with Mrs. Santa, and a free holiday movie at the Farmington Civic Theater. The day wraps up with a tree lighting at the Governor Warner Mansion on Grand River.

Holiday Lights

The City of Farmington Hills celebrates its 25th Annual Holiday Lights Ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. on the Farmington Hills City Hall campus on the southwest corner of Orchard Lake Road and Eleven Mile Road.

Trees at City Hall will be illuminated along with a 20-foot tall candle. Singers from the Farmington High School Vocal Harmonics will entertain. After the ceremony, Santa will visit and refreshments will be served inside Fire Department Headquarters, 31455 Eleven Mile Rd. To learn more, call 248-473-1800.
