Celebrate Harrison homecoming at downtown Harvest Moon festival

This year’s Harvest Moon celebration in downtown Farmington will include a special celebration for Harrison High School, which marks its last homecoming this year.

The 49-year-old building is slated for closure in spring of 2019.

Harrison’s Legacy Committee has organized events for the September 21-22 homecoming weekend that include school tours and tailgates preceding Saturday’s 1 p.m. football game against Stoney Creek.

While students enjoy Harrison’s final homecoming dance on Saturday, 8 p.m.-11 p.m., alumni are welcome at Harvest Homecoming Evening, 4 p.m.-10 p.m., at the Walter Sundquist Farmington Pavilion on Grand River at Grove Street.

Admission is free. Craft beer will be on tap for those ages 21 and older. For more information, contact Roxanne Fitzpatrick, 248-470-3584 or rfitz@kw.com.
