The North Farmington High School Theatre ROPA (Raiders of the Performing Arts) will celebrate the birthday of Theodore Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, with a production of “Seussical the Musical.”
Because the school’s auditorium is undergoing renovations, the March 1-3 performances will be held at Farmington High School, 32000 Shiawassee St. in Farmington.

Based on the stories of Dr. Seuss, primarily Horton Hears a Who, “Seussical the Musical” is a kid-friendly show narrated by the Cat in the Hat. The adventure begins as Horton the Elephant discovers a speck of dust that is home to the Whos. Along the way, Horton is kidnapped and goes to trial, all while protecting the invisible Whos and an egg left behind by his fun-seeking friend Mayzie La Bird.
There will be a special character meet-and-greet on stage following the Saturday, March 3, 1 p.m. matinee.

A portion of ticket sales throughout the weekend will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
