Beaumont Health on June 25 reopened the upgraded Urgent Care 1 at 29263 Orchard Lake Road as Beaumont Urgent Care.
Farmington Hills was one of five sites the health system re-opened on Tuesday. The others are Garden City, Novi, Taylor, and Woodhaven.
“Beaumont is working with WellStreet, a company experienced with running patient-focused urgent care centers. We are eager to serve patients and families by providing quality care on their terms, with easy access at lower cost,” said Dr. Bernice Sessa, medical director of Beaumont Urgent Care.
While services are not limited to Beaumont patients, the medical team at Beaumont Urgent Care centers can access the Beaumont Network electronic medical record to help doctors and nurses provide coordinated care. Patients are also encouraged to find a primary care physician, and staff can assist with coordinating necessary care for patients and physicians.
WellStreet’s CEO, Ron Lavater added, “Beaumont Urgent Care Center’s talented providers and staff are very focused on our patient’s experience. It is our goal to have patients in and out of our centers within an hour or less. We are thrilled to serve the communities in the new locations.”
The Farmington Hills urgent care will be open 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. Monday-Friday; and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Urgent care centers are most appropriate for:
- cough, cold or sore throat
