Bank of America employees packed thousands of holiday meals on December 21 at the Salvation Army Community Center in Farmington Hills.
For the sixth straight year, bank volunteers have helped with the nonprofit’s Bountiful Boxes program. This year, they went one step further and distributed those meals and toys to families.
“Once again this holiday season, our Bank of America Michigan teammates are proud to partner with The Salvation Army to provide so many meals to those in need,” Matt Elliott, Michigan Market President, said in a press release. “It is essential that people have access to food and the resources necessary to help lead toward financial stability.”
The holiday boxes come in four cultural menus: traditional, Southern, Mexican, and Middle Eastern. In addition, families are able to select from a wide variety of toys and clothes for all ages to take home to their children.
