Area seniors invited to Farmington Schools breakfast

Farmington/Farmington Hills area seniors  will learn more about Farmington Public Schools during the 23rd Annual Senior Adult Breakfast, held on Tuesday, October 22, 9 a.m., at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with school district representatives, including new superintendent Dr. Robert Herrera. Students will provide musical entertainment and project displays.

The district will also announce its 2019/2020 Senior Adult Extraordinaire award winner. The award winner, age 60 or above, must volunteer in the district and contribute to the overall educational process. Past award winners include: Loretta Keller, John Weigel, Betty Bemis, Lorice Khoury, Dianne and Bob Long, Nancy Waldman, Ray Okonski, Marge Whittemore, Nancy Leflar, Michael Liebowitz, Diane DeSousa, Allan Whittemore, Virginia Starr, Lincoln Avery, Leona Goetzke, and Demetra, Tina, and Toula Mehas.
