A “tale as old as time” comes to life on Farmington Hills stage April 26-29, with the Farmington Hills Youth Theatre production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.”
Performed at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd., the show features Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. The musical features the same memorable songs including “Be Our Guest,” “Gaston,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and more.
In a press release, Emily Massatt, 10, who plays the role of Chip, said, “I’m excited for the audience to see the costumes and the personalities of each character.”
“You can be younger and still perform in front of an audience, I’m little but I can still be a part of this,” said cast member Sophia Snyder, 9.
“Beauty and the Beast” will be performed on Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m.; on Saturday, April 28 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.; and on Sunday, April 29 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door; children three and under are free.
