The Governor Warner Mansion in Farmington will kick off the Greater Farmington Founders Festival with a Thursday, July 19 Porch Party featuring a community sing-along.
From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., enjoy the music of singer, songwriter, and music leader Julie Beutel. Games will be set up on the lawn, and refreshments will be served on the porch of the historic mansion at 33805 Grand River.
Admission is $5, and free for children ages 8 and younger. The event is sponsored by Todd Knickerbocker, Raymond James Associates Inc.
The city-owned museum and former home of Michigan three-term governor Fred M. Warner will also offer these activities during the community festival:
Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21
- Mansion Flea Market Fundraiser, featuring antique vendors displaying items for sale on the mansion grounds, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Mansion tours with costumed docents, 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
- Become a “Friend of Fred” and join the Friends of the Mansion.
