Students at Gill Elementary in Farmington Hills found a graffiti-tagged building when they returned to school Monday.

Farmington Public Schools spokesperson Diane Bauman said the vandalism occurred over the weekend. The district has filed a police report and is working to remove the spray painted messages. None of the language was offensive, she said.
Bauman said that Jon Riebe, Director of Facilities Management, called the incident “very unusual” for the district.
If you have information about the vandalism, call the Farmington Hills Police Command Desk, 248-871-2610.
