Annette Evans was found in Madison Heights late Tuesday evening. She was taken to the hospital, but is in good health and will be reunited with her family, Farmington Hills Police Department Assistant Chief Daniel Rodriguez said.

According to a nixle.com alert issued around 2 a.m. Tuesday, Evans, who is black, 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs 140 pounds, was last seen in the area of Middlebelt and Shiawassee Roads.

A police department press release noted that Evans walked away from her son’s Farmington Hills home in the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 22. Family members said she has previously left for long periods of time and has dementia.
