Farmington Hills woman, 24, dies in single-car rollover

A 24-year-old Farmington Hills woman died early Sunday morning, after her Jeep Cherokee crashed and rolled in the area of Shiawassee Street and Inkster Road.

According to a Farmington Hills Police Department press release, officers and paramedics responded to the accident at around 3:40 a.m. They found the Jeep had crashed into a large light pole and electrical box.

The driver, who was ejected from the vehicle, was taken to Beaumont Hospital-Farmington Hills, where she died a short time later. She had been driving east on Shiawassee and crashed at Inkster Road. The release noted that speed and alcohol “may have been factors in the crash.”
