Grab a hot dog and sign up to help with this year’s farewell to summer celebration during a Volunteer Pep Rally held August 30, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion in downtown Farmington.
Harvest Moon, hosted by the Farmington Downtown Development Authority (DDA), happens September 21-23, at the Pavilion and Riley Park.
“The 12th Annual Harvest Moon Celebration would not be possible without the assistance of so many amazing volunteers,” said Kate Knight, DDA Executive Director. “Those interested in volunteering and/or attending the Pep Rally should RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 248-474-5500.”
The event opens on Thursday night with Northville Folk, followed by Friday’s Harvest Moon Dance with special musical guest Bugs Beddow and the Good Stuff. Saturday is traditionally the largest Farmington Farmers Market of the season, which will be held along Market Street in Downtown Farmington, and there will be a Pancake Breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Tickets for Harvest Moon go on sale Saturday, August 19, and can be purchased for $6 at John Cowley & Sons, The Vines, Merle Norman Cosmetics or Meadows Fine Wine & Liquor and at the Farmington Farmers Market on Saturdays.
If purchased at the Celebration, the cost is $8.
