Changes in state law now allow any qualified voter to cast an absent voter ballot in any Michigan election, and Farmington Hills voters can make that process even easier.
The city maintains a Permanent Absent Voter Application List whose recipients automatically receive a ballot for every local election. To be included, call the City Clerk’s Office at 248-871-2410 or send your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name, registered address, and a contact number.
A signed Absent Voter Ballot Application is required for all elections in order to receive a ballot, and applications are mailed out to all voters on the permanent list about two months before an election.
There’s also a new deadline of 5 p.m. on the Friday before an election to request that an Absent Voter Ballot be mailed.
