During the month of May, anyone can honor a Farmington Public Schools staff member through the Applause! program, a joint effort between the Board of Trustees and Farmington/Farmington Hills Education Foundation (FFHEF).
A $25 tax-deductible donation to FFHEF gets you three certificates with the donor’s and staff member’s names, and an explanation of what makes the honoree so special. Any Farmington Public Schools’ staff member including paraprofessionals, secretaries, office staff, custodians, bus drivers, teachers and administrators can receive an Applause! certificate.
Donations to the Foundation will be used to fund teacher and staff innovation grants for the 2018-2019 school year.
“The Education Foundation is honored to allocate funds to so many worthy programs,” said David Roggenkamp, FFHEF Board Chair and Grant Committee Member. “Foundation funds are helping our students get interesting and innovative educational opportunities that might not otherwise be available. It is vitally important for the Education Foundation to continue to offer innovation grants to our teachers, staff, and community members so that these opportunities can continue to be created.”
Certificate order forms are available at ffhedfoundation.org/applause.php or in school offices. A link to the forms and additional program information is also available on the Foundation’s Facebook page. Donors are asked to include a few words about what makes the honoree(s) special.
