Plants abound at Memorial Day weekend Farmers Market

If your plans include plants this Memorial Day weekend, make a Saturday stop at the Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market, open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion and Riley Park on Grand River.

In addition to vendors selling bedding and vegetable plants, herbs, perennials, hanging baskets, and porch pots, you can connect with Michigan Master Gardeners who will be on-site answering your gardening questions. Stop by the Farmington Beautification Committee’s display to learn more about Sunflower Explosion, which offers prizes for the community’s tallest sunflowers.

Music at the Market starts at 10 a.m. with Jamrocks, a Celtic fusion band. Farmington Hills Nursery will host this week’s Little Sprouts corner with activities for children.
