Oakland Community College (OCC) and the Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce will partner on August 22 for a lunch event that focuses on OCC’s efforts to bridge the workforce “skills gap”.
From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Chancellor Peter M. Provenzano Jr., CPA, CGMA, and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Joseph L. Petrosky will shed light on how the wide variety of skilled trades and apprenticeship programs offered by OCC can help both business owners and students positively impact the local economy and community.
The event is free and open to the public, and includes lunch courtesy of Sam Michaels Menswear, Tailoring and Tuxedos. Lunch will be prepared by the OCC Culinary Arts Institute. The event will be held at the OCC Orchard Ridge Campus in Building J, Room 306.
Registration, at gfachamber.com/events or by calling 248-919-6917, is requested for space and meal planning.
