After a soft opening in July, Eye Level Learning Center of Farmington Hills celebrated its grand opening December 14 with a Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting.
Located in the northwest corner of Drake and Grand River, the tutoring center offers small classes and one-on-one coaching in English and math. Manager Tanya Nordhaus said students tackle both reading and writing in English, and basic thinking math and critical thinking math in weekly classes.
Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner spoke during the ribbon cutting and welcomed Eye Level Learning Center to the county. The day concluded with an evening open house party, offering opportunities to learn more about the Center, while enjoying food from local restaurants.
“What a bright, clean, welcoming space conveniently located in a popular retail area,” said attendee Kelli Carpenter-Crawford. “Bonus is that it is managed by Tanya Nordhaus, a local resident who is a trained educator, an engaged Farmington Public Schools parent, and a warm and courteous person. The Farmington Area PTA Council is glad to have Eye Level of Farmington Hills as a business member.”
Nordhaus said it was “a bit overwhelming, but in a good way, to have so many people come out to celebrate our opening with us. Current families, their friends and ours, and new families all came to celebrate together. It was heart-warming.”
