The City of Farmington Hills has hired Samantha Seimer, former Director of Authorities for Auburn Hills, as its new Director of Economic Development.
Seimer, who replaces Khalfani Stephens, started work on September 4. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Oakland University.
Current Co-Chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee for the Michigan Economic Developers Association, she was named to the Oakland County Elite 40 Under 40 Class of 2017. According to the county’s website, the list recognizes “dynamic leaders under the age of 40 who are making a difference in Oakland County and beyond.”
“I look forward to working for the City of Farmington Hills and getting to know more about local businesses,” Seimer said in a press release. “I hope to meet with many of the local business leaders to find out how I can serve their needs as a liaison to the city.”
