Sink your teeth into an ear of fresh Michigan corn Saturday, Aug. 19, during the Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market, open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in downtown Farmington.
Market farmers donate the produce for the annual Elks Corn Roast so that all proceeds from the $1 per ear sale go to charity. Volunteers from the Farmington Elks Club will be shucking, grilling, and buttering corn throughout the day.
Because August is a busy month for the market, parking will be available in the Village Commons parking lot, about a block and a half east of the market.
Face painter Jennifer McCall and musician Larry Arbour round out the day’s entertainment. The market also features about 40 vendors selling Michigan produce, specialty foods, and artisan wares.
