Harrison High School is an IB World School; authorized in 2013. IB schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to a high quality, challenging, international education that Farmington Public Schools believes is important for our students. The Programme is designed for highly motivated students interested in earning the IB diploma, in addition to their high school diploma. Students enter the two-year Diploma Programme as a high school junior. Students begin to take courses designed to prepare them for IB during their freshmen and sophomore years.
The District’s IB Programme offers more subjects than any other local IB Programme. Students are able to participate in student activities such as clubs, sports, school musicals, and plays right in their high school. The IB Programme promotes the education of the whole person, emphasizing intellectual, personal, emotional, and social growth through all domains of knowledge.
