Learn more about Farmington Schools IB program Nov. 29

Families interested in learning more about the Farmington Public Schools International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme may attend an Information Night held Thursday, November 29 at 6:30 p.m., at Farmington High School, 32000 Shiawassee St.

The IB Programme is designed for highly motivated students interested in earning the IB Diploma, or taking individual IB Courses, in addition to their high school diploma. It promotes the education of the whole person, emphasizing intellectual, personal, emotional, and social growth through all domains of knowledge.

Some topics of discussion at the meeting will include:

  • General overview of IB and its benefits
  • How to earn an IB Diploma
  • What IB courses are offered at FPS
  • The difference between a Course Candidate and a Diploma Student
  • The IB Core
