Learn how to avoid tax scams at Farmington Hills event

Farmington Hills Police Department’s Crime Prevention Section will host a presentation on Thursday, Feb. 22 about avoiding tax scams.

The event starts at 11 a.m. in the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.

Crime Prevention team members will provide information that will help you recognize tax scammers, who use the telephone, email, and regular mail to deceive citizens and scam them into divulging personal information.

The meeting is open to all residents. Advance registration is required either in person at the Costick Center or by calling 248-473-1830.
