The Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market kicks off Labor Day weekend on September 1 with music by Mark Reitenga, a chef’s demo, and a wide selection of Michigan products and produce.
Farmington city council member Joe LaRussa will return for his second cooking demo appearance on the bricks south of the Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion at 11 a.m. There’ll be a craft for kids in the Little Sprouts Corner, and Robin Danto from the Oakland County Michigan State University Extension Office will be on hand to talk about Project Senior Fresh for adults 60 and older.
Spend $20 at any downtown store or restaurant on market day, bring your receipts to the market information booth, and pick up a free jute market bag.
Learn more about the market, which is open Saturdays, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. through October, at farmingtonfarmersmarket.com.
