A group of Detroit-area singer/songwriters will perform during a March 9 Friday Night Live concert held upstairs at the Farmington Civic Theater in downtown Farmington.
Kubat, Finlay & Rose, a Detroit-area collective, will be the featured entertainment along with special guest, Scott Fab. KF&R are known for rich harmonies and vibrant instrumentation, according to a press release.
Audra Kubat is a nationally acclaimed poet and singer-songwriter with two Detroit Music Awards to her credit. Tamara Finlay, a classically trained mezzo-soprano, plays a variety of instruments. Emily Rose performs, what she calls, folk “story songs” blending fact with fiction. She’s a four-time Detroit Music Awards winner. Together, these talented women produce a sound that livens the room.
Special guest, singer-songwriter Scott Fab has a crisp Midwest sound. He works to blend lyrics and his acoustic guitar to make a connection with listeners. He enjoys performing for an audience that’s interested in a well-delivered song.
This Friday Night Live season concludes April 27 with the Nashtown Songwriters Round featuring Nashville’s Byron Hill and Mark Barnowski, New York’s Rob Taube and Allie Louise from Rochester Hills.
Friday Night Live focuses on singer-songwriters. Concerts begin at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available in advance at eventbrite.com and at the Farmington Civic Theater box office or at the door. Cash only at the theater, located at 33332 Grand River. Learn more on the theater’s Facebook page.
