Harrison musicians play to raise funds for Freedom House

Harrison High School student musicians will present their second annual Orchestrating for Freedom benefit concert held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9.

Held in the school’s auditorium, the program will feature student instrumental solos. Tickets are $3.

Money raised will benefit Freedom House, a temporary home in downtown Detroit for survivors of persecution from around the world who are seeking legal asylum in the U.S. and Canada.  Additional free-will donations will be accepted, along with gift cards to Target or Meijer to help residents buy the things they need.

Harrison High School is located at 29995 W. 12 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills. The auditorium is in the back of the school across from the football field. To help or get more information, write to Rosie Burns-Pavlik, rosiebp@tds.net.
