Got a Farmington historic home? There’s a plaque for that.

Owners of historic Farmington homes built before 1945 can now purchase plaques that promote awareness of local history.

The Farmington Historical Commission offers the Historic House Plaques, which should be displayed on the front of the house. The cost is $80, or $40 for homes located within the National Historic District (the Farmington Historical Commission will pay the difference in price).

The construction date on city assessment records will be used, unless the homeowner can offer proof of a more accurate date.
