Nashville meets Detroit at the April 5 Friday Night Live concert at the Farmington Civic Theater.
This Nashtown songwriters round features Music City’s Wil Nance. He’s penned number-one hits for Brad Paisley and George Strait, a top-ten hit with Joe Nichols and many others for popular country artists. Beyond the music, the audience will learn what goes into writing hit songs.
Joining Wil onstage will be the fun-loving Nashville duo Danika & The Jeb and former Detroit area residents Rob Taube, now in New York, and Mark Barnowski who resides near Nashville.
Danika & The Jeb have over 1,500 concerts under their belts and are known for their uplifting performances. Rob is a New York producer, teacher and working musician. A recent project was an album with rock legend Simon Kirke of Bad Company. Mark was awarded the 2016 and 2017 Song of the Year at the Tennessee Songwriters Association International Awards. He has two cuts on the recently released William Shatner-Jeff Cook (Alabama) CD.
A new Gretsch guitar package, valued at over $1,000, will be awarded to one lucky winner after the concert. No purchase necessary.
Friday Night Live concerts are presented by St. Joe’s Medical Group and focus on singer/songwriters. Concert will begin at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 and available in advance at the box office or at the door. Also, online at Eventbrite.com. Cash only at the theater.
