The Farmington Civic Theater’s Friday Night Live concerts return Friday, September 14.
The all-ages concerts are presented by St. Joe’s Medical Group. The music series focuses on singer/songwriters with a casual, get-to-know-the-performers approach.
The fall season debuts with Robert Jones and Matt Watroba. Their love for traditional American music has them traveling the nation paying tribute to “music that matters”. This night, they’ll perform and reflect on the driving forces behind traditional music – history, social change, migration, hopes and dreams.
You’ll hear the common chords Blues, Rock ‘N Roll, Bluegrass, Motown, Rhythm & Blues and Hip Hop share. Matt and Robert play the songs and shed light on the evolution of our country’s music. Listen for some originals, too.
Singer-songwriter Chris Davio will start the night. Originally from Plymouth, Chris now lives in Nashville. He’s known Matt since first grade! The two played in the Plymouth-based band Phoenix back in the day. He’ll bring a taste of Tennessee to town.
Friday Night Live concerts begin at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and available in advance at the box office or at the door. Also online at Eventbrite.com. Cash only at the theater.
Tickets for the October 12 and November 9 Friday Night Live concerts are on sale as well. After a December break, the series will resume January 2019.
