Farmington science students win medals at Great Lakes Invitational

Farmington Public Schools (FPS) middle school students earned medal during the Fourth Annual Great Lakes Science Olympiad Invitational, Division B, held on Saturday, Jan. 20 at L’Anse Creuse High School in Harrison Township.

These students competed against 44 other Michigan middle school teams for the opportunity to participate in regional and state competitions:

Power Middle School – 10th place overall

  • 2nd place in Anatomy – Noreen Bongado & Saketh Ram Kolichina

  • 4th place in Experimental Design – Madhumitha Rajaprakash & Praneet Voleti
  • 6th place in Battery Buggy – Keshav Sriram & Yatin Bichala
  • 6th place in Optics – Madhumitha Rajaprakash & Saketh Ram Kolichina
  • 6th place in Potions and Poisons – Pranavi Jarugula & Yatin Bichala

Warner Middle School – 35th place overall
