Farmington Public Schools trustees will during a Tuesday workshop start preparing to interview superintendent candidates.
Applications closed April 23 for the position currently held by Dr. George Heitsch, who will retire July 1. Officials are working with consultants from the Michigan Association of School Boards to prep for the first round of interviews, slated to begin May 14.
The workshop begins at 4:30 p.m. and will be followed by a 6:30 p.m. study session. That agenda includes recommended approvals of a contract renewal with DM Burr for janitorial services, the Education Support Professionals bargaining contract, middle school science curriculum purchase, and review of the Oakland Schools budget.
Full agendas and supporting materials for the meetings are posted at login.boardbook.org/Public/PublicHome.aspx?ak=1000199. Both meetings will be televised on cable channel 10 and live-streamed at farmington.vod.castus.tv/vod.
