Farmington city council members on Monday will talk about parking on Gill Road, interview candidates for board and commission seats, and consider allowing two spring events in Shiawassee Park.
In a memo, Public Safety Director Frank Demers reported that a move to allow parking on the east side of Gill Road has not led to any complaints about either traffic or pedestrian safety at the Arundel crosswalk, near Longacre Elementary School. The department has also issued fewer speeding tickets since the October 1 change.
The spring events include the Telangana Development Forum’s annual social event and an “Eggstravaganza” fundraiser for the Lanigan Elemetary 5th grade camp. Council members will also review updates to the 2019 Recreation Master Plan.
The meeting also includes time for public comment. An agenda and supporting materials is posted at farmgov.com/City-Services/Government/Agendas-and-Minutes/City-Council/2019.aspx.
