Farmington city council members will on Monday learn more about two popular winter events slated in December.
They’ll review special event applications for the Greater Farmington Area Chamber’s Holly Days and lighted parade, held December 7 in downtown Farmington, and a Harry Potter-themed skate held December 28 at the Riley Park Ice Rink. Both will be considered during the regular 7 p.m. meeting.
Officials will hold a public hearing on Community Development Block Grant funds, federal dollars that typically go to the City of Farmington Hills for services to senior citizens. Other agenda items include:
- Approval of an agreement that funds a full-time Public Safety investigator for the Oakland County Narcotics Enforcement Team;
- Change orders and estimates for the Oakland Street reconstruction and other road maintenance and rehabilitation projects;
- Purchase of replacement in-ground vehicle maintenance hoists; and
- Amendments to the 2019-2020 budget
Council members will discuss the budget amendments during a 6 p.m. study session, held in the conference room. Both the study session and regular meeting will end with closed sessions; to discuss property acquisition, and to discuss collective bargaining and confidential attorney-client communications, respectively.
Agendas for both meetings are posted at farmgov.com/City-Services/Government/Agendas-and-Minutes/City-Council/2019.aspx.
Regular meetings are typically live-streamed at farmgov.com/City-Services/Government/View-Live-Meetings.aspx.
